To become greater than yourself you have to become more than what you think you were. Who are we really?
My flesh lives in fear although my soul simultaneously lives in hope. Entrapped by social fears and financial restraint, I am free to do anything.
Beauty within reach yet so far away. I am in love, but self loathe. I feel uneasy in my own skin. Pain curbs my will and my flesh steals my might. I want to be free, to feel at one.
I proclaim I am clear minded and worry free, yet I ponder after every interaction “am I good enough” “could I do better” for the world, other people, myself and for this life?!
I question myself. Am I trying too hard to fit in? Is it wrong to be better than I was yesterday, to question myself, my motivations and morals? To be more than I was?
Broken throughout time, and yet unjustifiably pieced together with it, I believe there is more to just existing.
Unequivocally irreversibly enlightened. I have more layers than the proverbial onion. Try peeling them back, you may well cry.
My soul yearns for more. I am stuck within four walls and a shell. My body, my home. Life.
Like a caterpillar I await transcendence within my cocoon. I am just waiting to fly.

I’m still here. I am lost within myself, but I am still here. I cannot express my truth, but I am still here.
I cannot recall things or people, but I am still here. I cannot be independent and my body doesn’t listen, but I am still here.
I am not the person I was or that you remember, but I am still here. I feel as though I am not me anymore, but I know, am still here.
I forget, yet I am not to be forgotten. I still feel and see, touch and breathe. My words and actions do not make sense to you or to me, but I’m still here.
Please do not forget me while I’m trapped within my walls. I am still here.

“I’m very grateful for the way life has turned around. That bad people don’t stay and that good ones do. Though it has never been easy, I’m grateful for the life lessons, wisdom and understanding that comes from falling, because without it I would never have learnt to fly.” – ML Malta
That’s right i’m not perfect. BUT I AM 100% WORTH THE INVESTMENT. -ML Malta
Your love is unconditional. You think upon me when the sun rises and sets. When the stars shine, your heart remains in mine. Every moment between belongs to me. Not one breath is breathed without exhaling me into existence. You strategically place me, even in the darkest corner so that when you stumble you have to find the light. Your love does not falter, nor does it contend. It is not self seeking or power hungry. The only power you seek is mine to share. You want only to stop the darkness. You hope the lost become found, above your own life, you seek me.
I loved you unconditionally… yet, for the world to love me, what eye can truly see? You show me, love me, and offer my love to the world. At the risk of life and the price of all that matters you bow before me, offering your life. You do not just pray, you speak to me and wait for me to answer. When I called out for you, you came and said Lord… “Here I am send me!” You have been obedient and trusted. You have given without repayment, sown through drought and watered those who needed to drink from me. Your life has fed the lost and given hope. Because of me you have transformed your life to represent unconditional love. I am unconditional love. Christ crucified is unconditional love. I am unconditionally yours.

You have a chance to do everything better than you have before. We are not defined or trapped by our past, nor is your future depicted by it. You create your future by the choices you make in each current moment. The present, is your gift. Those choices we seemingly assume to be mindless are creating the future, your future, before your very eyes. We need to be mindful and concious of the way we live out our day’s. Live in each moment purposefully, because you are the architect, designer and creator of this life you are living out.
Your future can be anything you desire it to be. The past is familiar and it is often repeated because of this familiarity we are drawn to it like a moth to a flame. Such as the same type of partner’s that end up breaking your heart. Familiar is not necessarily good, but fear stops us from seeking the new and we often settle back into old patterns and behaviors. We are habitually drawn to familiar things even though they can be negative. Because we have created fear around the idea of the unknown and unpredictably of a future that isn’t controlled, we tend to gravitate to the same men or women, or have trouble changing routines that are toxic. The familiar is modelled off your past, so if you are trying to change your direction stop following the same blueprints and recreate your life by proactively holding life’s pen and rewriting it. Embrace the new!
Starting setting high goals! Have expectations beyond your limiting thoughts and feelings. Leave the past like unturned soil. Stop digging it up! You cannot change what you did yesterday, but you can improve now! Make a deal with yourself to modify your thinking and to change your feelings. The actions will follow. Eventually your world will start to change. It will be possible for you to get excited about life. You will unlock opportunities and a whole new world will open its gates to you with open arms. New isn’t scary, staying the same is.
Take control of your thought life. Don’t own every feeling and thought that drops into your head, you can change and swap those for other constructive and kind thoughts. If you go to a shop for cake and it gives you coal you wouldn’t accept it, you deserve the best, you demand the best and you expect the best. So why do we accept less when it comes to ourselves and those vicious inner voices and critics? Why listen to the haters in our heads without challenging them? They can be challenged and they can be changed. We aren’t the product of our thoughts, but we are shaped by conscious thinking and the words thereof.
Do not dwell on the things and events of the past that have torn you down or limited your belief in life, love or yourself. Be better, do better every single day. Make changes within yourself and take back control of your life and give the world the version of yourself that is no longer afraid to breathe. Get beyond your self. Use your imagination to stir up thoughts and feelings that match your desires instead of your fears. Deny access to the enemy and dark energy that once resided. Take back ownership of your thought life, mind, body and soul.
Life really is too short, enjoy it.

Perceptions are versions of our individual truth. They are an accumulation of distorted images and sensory stimuli that create physiological, psychological and neurological responses to the world about us and the way we respond to it. Our memories and experiences are unique; they are based of an individual standpoint and mindset.
A single memory can trigger the way we interpret everything else because it may be a sensitivity we had not discovered about ourselves. Over time we stack them like bad chapters in decaying books. Being mindful and acknowledging the mind in its complexities, we may be able to see the simple world around us and how we shape it through our experiences.
We can change the way we interpret and fit the world around us. If we can reframe our past and file away those triggers so that we understand them, maybe we can find peace. Maybe, if we focus on the joy’s, rather than our fear and failures, we can build up rather than tear ourselves down. Maybe, in the darkness you can close your eyes and see yourself dancing without the noise and shine the light on your hope, strength and love.

Life is hard. There is not a rule book or a guide that will ever cover it all completely. Every life, every choice, every journey is indescribably different and unique. There is not a version of perfect to check everyone’s box. Life is complex, painful, difficult, arduous and tumultuous. Life is hard. However, throughout this hard life we are surrounded by gift’s.
When we focus on how bad and hard life is, it is easy to develop tunnel vision. Everything goes wrong! Why me? Things will never improve. This always happens… All we see are the problems. We are blinded, unable to see anything of beauty or value. Overshadowed. We only see the threat and the basis of all of all our fears is fear itself. It manifests around us like a tornado tearing worlds apart. Fear grips at your soul and torments your mind. It is hard to appreciate anything good. You feel as though joy is momentary because cracks will develop there too.
Exponentially experienced in the art of protecting ourselves to the detriment of ones very soul, our mind’s are the battlefield that the darkness expedites its army. Unknowingly we open the door and feed the monsters. We scream for freedom behind the bars of fear, where the evil grows, we are left lingering in the shadows. Legions of opposing thoughts creating feelings sire a lowly spirit. I scream, we all scream. Oh to be free, to let the light shine in. To free my mind, my life, my body and the world about me. To regain power over my enemy. To regain the life I have only dreamt of.
To shine so brightly that even in a dark world my soul will not cast a shadow. To be free and trust something bigger. To live happily with an imperishable hope in a world I feel estranged to. I renew my mind, my thoughts, feelings and world daily. Casting out my enemy, I surrender to love. My face pressed to the floor, tears of agony aged like fine wine soaking the earth beneath me. The impurities flee like sand into floor boards never to return. I regain my God given rights, to live, and love. Freedom floods the gates of my soul. I close the door to fear, the enemy that stole my life has lost its grip on my reality. I live and I love again; I am free. Life is hard, but I am stronger!

I decided many year’s ago that no matter what happens to me, whatever comes against me, tries to hurt me, tear me down or destroy me… It will not succeed. I refuse to bow down to anything that is against me. I will fight the good fight regardless of the obstacles the pain, and hardships associated with it all. Even if I lose my life I’d gain it. My SPIRIT and my MIND will not be broken. My faith heals my soul and renews my hope. I renew my mind and trust the word of God above any feeling, or voice that tries to tear me down. I am more than a conqueror. I am a warrior!

Looking back over my life, I have made some incredibly epic mistakes. I have made bad choices, been hurt, broken and torn. I put my joy in other people’s pockets and didn’t know myself, or my value. I wanted to be loved by people that don’t know how to.
I have been physically and emotionally abused for the better part of my whole life and through it all I’ve blossomed. I’ve overcome brokenness, adversities, health problems and massive life issue’s. Although there has been so much turbulence, I was incredibly blessed with two beautiful children that drive me to be a better and stronger person every day. To be a mother they love and look up to. I also now have a husband I love and who loves me equally as much, with all of our hearts and then some. Additionally, I have two step daughter’s that are amazing and a wonderful extended family, all in which i’m incredibly grateful for. But it has not always been so pleasant.
I had spent so much time feeling that love was not real, that people were just evil and I only lived because of my faith in God. I was born into an abusive home and I had health problems. I was sick and shattered from a young age. As a result I never had hope, and felt very alone. As I became older I found God, but it didn’t stop my hardships. I was a mess. As the years went on I went from abuse to abuse, after a while I stopped caring, I’d let myself be abused because I was so tired of fighting. Although I knew God I was destroyed by the evil in the world and I felt beaten. My understanding of God and faith was very immature and although I knew he was with me, I had so much to learn and grow through. Sometimes my kids and God were the only thing’s keeping me alive.
Life has been very hard and extremely judgmental. I used to feel ashamed by the lies my abusers said to protect themselves. I tried defending myself only to feel invisible and unheard, It was a difficult time being labeled and victimized. Feeling so vulnerable and alone was soul crushing. Iooking back I was caring too much about what others thought than who God said I was. I was seeking love from people that couldn’t give it. Inside I was a small girl crying out to be loved and cared for. Looking back I was immature, I didn’t understand what it really meant to be loved or how to live in faith because I was still living in fear. We can not meet everyone’s expectations and we are not perfect. Neither is anyone else. Life is not that easy. I felt lost. My identity felt misinterpreted and abused. People I cared about lied about me, abused me and accused me. So many lies, so many tears. Many relationships were fractured because of manipulation and lies. Everyone out for themselves regardless of anyone else. It can be sad world. It took a long time for me to stand on my feet and not care about the lies, or the past and just concern myself with me and who I am and want to become. I pity them now, especially the ones that have not changed.
I’ve grown. I’ve grown beyond their lies, the fears, the demons and the darkness. No longer under a shadow. I love the person God created me to be and am. I know I have value and it is not dependent on anyone! Not even myself. I am loved and beautiful. I don’t need people to hold me up, I just need God to hold me in his arm’s. I don’t need to listen to every voice screaming in my head, the peace that I chose to hear is all I’ll ever need. People think they know me, but they don’t. They heard stories, made up by a liar, or they saw me make mistakes. Sure I made mistakes, but one bad choice isn’t my identity and I refuse to accept it. My identity and life now has clear purpose and value. I don’t waste my thoughts, feelings or energy on unnecessary things or people and I refuse to live in the past.
The people we associate with and allow into our lives is extremely important, they shape the perception of us and our experiences. I have learnt to be mindful of my connections and not allow myself to be mistreated. I positioned myself with love. Whatever life throws at you, stand your ground and pray. Never lose hope, and above all, do not relinquish your faith into the arm’s of fear. You will survive the storm’s of life. Every day is a new day and an opportunity to grow beyond what life has done to you, or what you let happen to yourself. You are not a victim, you are in fact a warrior. You are an overcomer!
God has a plan to bless you and prosper you regardless of what any devil in hell might try to put you through. Raise your hopes and keep fighting. You will see change as you change. Grow from your experiences and become the person you know you are on the inside. Let yourself shine in the darkness until you reach the sun. Be the light and let it shine within you. I know mine felt like it was smouldering at times, but it never went out. I wouldn’t give in and give my enemies their wish! No! You fight and you fight and you fight well! I am not perfect, but I do know that to survive you need to grow. You get up every day, have a shower, eat, drink and move! Start researching anything and everything that will help you change your state of mind and move you physically into a better place or environment. Challenge your mindset, false beliefs, the lies and move forward. Make better choices, be better… do better! Leave the past behind you. Change your people and associations. People that are in a rut want company, don’t be their crutch. Do not settle! Get up out of that ditch and lead by example. Look after yourself! If they aren’t ready for change that’s their issue, change yourself. You can only control your outcome. Only you can choose LIFE.
